[] Sea Vegetables:                “In 1974, in the Japanese Journal of Experimental Medicine, scientists stated that several varieties of kombu (common sea vegetable eaten in Asia an din macrobiotic diets) were effective I the treatment of tumors.  In 3 of 4 samples tested in the laboratory, inhibition rates in mice with implanted cancerous tumors ranged from 89-95%.  The researchers reported, “The tumor underwent complete regression in more than half of the mice of each treated group.”  Similar experiments, in which mice with leukemia were treated with sea vegetables, showed promising results.  A 1986 screening of sea vegetables for antitumor activity found that 9 out of the 11 varieties studied inhibited tumors in animals.  In 1984, medical researcher Jane Teas and associates at the Harvard School of Public Health reported that a diet containing 5% kombu significantly delayed the onset of breast cancer in experimental animals.  Extrapolating these results to human subjects, Teas and her colleagues concluded, “Seaweed may be an important factor in explaining the low rates of certain types of cancers in Japan”. Japanese women, whose diet normally includes about 5% sea vegetables, have an incidence of breast cancer that is from 3-9 times lower than the rate among American women, whose diet does not normally include sea vegetables.  Dr. Teas and researchers in Japan believe that a chemical called fucoidan may be the most potent among the various anticancer agents found in sea vegetables”.  Holistic Health through Macrobiotics Pg. 326 Michio Kushi with Edward Esko. "From a historical perspective, herbal medicine lies at the very roots of modern drug therapeutics.  Herbs contain various active chemicals that have particular physiologic effects relative to the amounts given. Many of the drugs in use today have their origins in well-known herbs used for treating illness by early healer/physicians  Scientific research in pharmacology has validated many of the beneficial therapeutic effects which have been attributed to commonly used herbs."

The drug digitalis is derived from the foxglove leaf.  The foxglove plant was used in the treatment of fluid retention due to heart disease.  The foxglove plant has beneficial cardiac effects. Modern doctors now favor the synthetic drug digoxin (a digitalis synthetic counterpart)  and have dispensed with the plant source of digitalis.

  Universal Law Of Order

Every vibration has a weight, a sound and a color, and they all match.  Universal law is associated with mathematics, music, medicine, architect, and astronomy.  The same law runs through all the 5 sciences that structures everything even the vibration of food.  By associating numbers with color and sound, this is also how a certain vibration is established for a particular food.  Every fruit and vegetable has a color and a resonation.  The 7 colors relate to a specific subtle energy vibration and it’s association with the body’s glands, organs, and nervous system plexuses. Matched with colors and matched with the season, foods are mathematically categorized for vibrational balancing and healing.  The laws that affect the planet are the same laws that give the food its nutritional energy, which is vibrational energy.  The shape of a food is also implicated.  It’s all mathematics.  There are ancient Chinese medical texts that give extensive lists of foods and the healing qualities they contain.  The ancient Indian texts and scholars such as Yogananda Pramahansa also lists the foods affect on specific characteristics of our personality types.

Seasons: The Sun’s Effects

On Color And Food As Medicine

Energies are stored in foods and the particular energies affect the healing qualities of the food.  The ancient scholars and healers knew how to choose a particular food for healing based on understanding this seasonal principle.  It is the understanding of how the sun strikes the Earth during a particular season, that determines the types of food, and the growth pattern of that food. Vibrational nutrition comes from the changing of the seasons: spring, summer, fall, & winter. The seasons determine the quantity or quality of the elements present in food. When the seasons change the climate is affected.  The climate during a season affects the food in the way that it grows, as a root beneath the earth, a plant or grain on top of earth, on the vine, or on a tree and what healing qualities it offers.

Short grain brown rice grows beneath the earth, when the rice comes right above the earth it is known as medium grain, when the rice grows out from a vine so many inches it is called the long grain brown rice.  The sun is hitting the food and the earth thawing at the same time determines the characteristics of the food and the healing qualities it offers.

During the winter season there are: short grain brown rice, root vegetables, and squashes such as pumpkin.  During winter the sun passes straight through the earth and all nutrition goes right into the earth and makes these foods grown deep into the earth very nutritional.  Food is either contractive or expansive energy.  Winter root vegetables contract.

Food & Healing Energy

The organs are associated with a particular vibration and a food.  Contracting vibrational energy heals certain organs.  Kidneys and bladder are contracting energy.  All of the organs below the naval are contracting organs.  Expansive organs are the heart, the organs above the naval.  The deeper the organs are buried in the body the more contracting is their energy.  This energy of contracting or expansive is incorporated in the yin and yang philosophy.

Oranges have a high vibrational level and they are getting heat from the sun.  The 1 vibrational energy is called the energy of the Sun.  The higher up a fruit grows the more vibration they are getting from the sun.  Summer is the highest point of the sun’s vibration on the food.  The best fruits are in the summer time, the highest season.  However all seasons carry vibrational energy, it is depending on when and how the sun is actually hitting the earth.  This is where the vibrational levels to food come in.   “The shape of the foods is also involved.  It’s all mathematics. The pear is the shape of a woman’s uterus.  Certain fruits look like the labia of a woman such as the cantaloupe melon.  If you turn a food the right way it may look like some part of the female or the male body, which also gives you indication of it’s healing qualities.  The earth mimics the body.  The Honorable Elijah Muhammad taught us that the stars are mimic after the woman.  When God made himself then he had everything in the universe to pattern after the Original woman.  The planets were made after the Original woman

Mentally, Spiritually, Emotionally, or Physically

Particular foods have particular minerals that are needed by the body when certain dis-eases are present: mentally, spiritually, emotionally, or physically, and when certain characteristics of the personality are dominant.  These types respond to certain substances in the food.  The human body as well as food is living energy mathematically calculated.  Different energies affect the body in specific ways.
