Enlightened artistic approach, respectfully transforming health,
studying wholistic immunity stopping dis-eases of man

n     The benefits of these complementary therapy is that it harmonizes taking a “wholistic” approach, dealing with the mental, spiritual, emotional, and physical body, than focusing on one symptom or area. Taking an alternative approach is to have options to make choices of certain therapies over others.    n     There are major benefits in complementary therapies in addition to treating physical symptoms, most of these therapies help to manage stress by relaxing, giving a sense of wellness by refreshing, and helping one to feel more confident and empowered with making their alternative choices.

Musictherapy & Stress Management

Music has the ability to influence the whole body: mental, spiritual, emotional, & physical.  Our mind, feelings and emotions fluctuate according to the types of sounds that are heard in our environment.

Music therapy is highly recommended for issues relating to:

[] traumatic experience

[] childhood abuse

[] failed relationship

[] family breakdown

[] death

[] violence

Rhythm can allow a youth to get in touch with emotional sources of pain and anger.  Vibrations of music can invoke images and encourage releasing of memories and emotions that are locked inside the body.  Music that enables one to explore multiple themes, textures, and rhythms that allows the mind to wander has a therapeutic affect.

nnJoan Furman, M.S.N., R.N., and Holistic Nurse Practitioner in Nashville, Tennessee. Comments on how do the stressors of the world physically affect our lives. "First of all, we know that the communications between body and mind are instantaneous. As soon as the mind has thought or feeling, there is an immediate and corresponding reaction in the body that pervades the entire system.

Stress, whether chronic or acute, produces biological changes that are not only damaging, but can be deadly for anybody," says Furman, "especially someone whose immune system is compromised."

Removing shame, guilt, violence & repressed issues in order to properly care for the wombs, the gateway that opens the healing for all of humanity. Dealing with the sacredness of the female and male body as a temple. Addressing the life-style choices that we make and how it affects our health and immunity to dis-eases.

Topics here are to enlighten about the uses of wholisitc health and the immune system: mental, spiritual, emotional, & physical well-being, utilizing the natural earth therapies of: Aroma, music & sound, meditation/visualization, massage, colors, energy & crystals.

Using Mindfulness Meditation to Promote Holistic Health

Susan Logsdon-Conradsen, Berry College

n     In individuals with HIV/AIDS there is clearly a need for effective stress management programs for individuals with HIV/AIDS given their increased susceptibility to illness and disease progression as a result of the immunosuppressive effect of stress.

n     Mindfulness meditation is a relatively new holistic approach to health promotion and is associated with improved stress management along with reductions in negative affect and improvements in well-being.

AROMATHERAPY
Affecting Emotions & Health
With Pure Essential Oils

The nerves that respond to smell are wired directly into the brain & the stimuli are sent pure to the limbic center of the brain. The limbic system through the nervous system & through hormones are given instructions on how to react to various stimuli that we encounter. There are nerve pathways interwoven throughout the limbic system sending a continuous flow of electrochemical impulses that direct human drives & emotions. Scents act on the brain by reducing anxiety or by increasing alertness & awareness.  The limbic system is located in the central area of the brain, this is where emotional responses are concentrated. When various areas of the limbic system are activated, a person feels intense emotions. Some limbic areas cause feelings of peace, contentment, attraction while others areas cause feeling of anger, rage, hostility, and loneliness.
